We Give Thanks
The year was 1621, the location was Plymouth Colony and it was time for a grand old feast. This was the setting of the first Thanksgiving meal shared by our very own Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Indians. According to History.com , the menu did not exactly host today’s version of a bountiful Thanksgiving meal. Wild fowl, deer, lobster, grapes, acorns, and Indian corn were just a few of the options. It wasn’t until Abraham Lincoln’s presidency that he declared Thanksgiving was the last Thursday in November and it was not a national holiday until 1941. Now, more than 350 years later, families and friends still gather together to give thanks, share a meal, share old stories, and share laughter.
At MS Companies, we would like to give thanks to all of our friends for your support over the years. Without our loyal and trusting customers, we would not be where we are today. However you spend your Thanksgiving, we hope it is a joyful one.
MS would like to leave you with some of our favorite funny videos to bring laughter to your Thanksgiving holidays.
Our summer intern, Kevin Breen, who is back with us for the holidays would like to share this video:
UK Family Fortunes “Turkey Episode”
“Bizkit The Sleep walking dog” is Chris Waters’ (in accounting) favorite youtube video:
And, one of my personal favorites is “Evolution of Dance”
Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
